Dear everyone,

we are finally moving from Subversion at Sourceforge to Git at GitHub.

This migration will happen on October, 2nd 2018. From that date on you
the Subversion repository will not receive any new updates.

The new Git repository will be hosted at the same place the current Git
mirror is located:

   https://github.com/cp2k/cp2k

Since we are using this migration as an opportunity to simplify the
directory structure and to cleanup the commit messages, the current Git
mirror repository will be abandoned (renamed) and you will have to
re-create your forks and move your commits.

This is therefore a good opportunity to submit patches that you may have
lying around.

If you have commits on your clone of the Git mirror you do not want or
can't submit just yet, I've put together some preliminary documentation
on how to move them from the current Git mirror to the new repository here:

   https://github.com/cp2k/cp2k/wiki/Repository-Migration

Best regards,
Tiziano
