difference between "absorption cross section" and "absorbance"

Hello,
I ask you to tell me the difference between "absorption cross section" calculated 
from "real time RTP spread" measured in A ° ²  and "absorbance" measured in 
cm ^ -1,  is that the two spectra have the same appearance?
