fedora 12 compatible arch files for cp2k

all,

since there are many people struggling to compile cp2k,
perhaps the following two files that i just uploaded to the
group here might be of interest to them.

http://cp2k.googlegroups.com/web/Linux-x86-64-fedora12.popt
http://cp2k.googlegroups.com/web/Linux-x86-64-fedora12.sopt

those are arch files that work *exclusively* with rpm packages
that are available precompiled through the official fedora
repositories.
you can install them via the yum installer or its graphical front end.
so no complicated special compiles are necessary. details in the
first comments of the arch files. i don't have a 32-bit machine with
F12 available right now, but in principle these files should work on
32-bit cpus by replacing all references to /usr/lib64 with /usr/lib.

the downside is that the fedora provided packages may not
interface to any special network, so i would not expect the
parallel .popt binary to work efficiently outside a single node.

if anybody has difficulties with those, please reply to this
post/thread so that the information stays public.

if there is sufficient interest, i could write a script that will
generate
binary rpm files and deposit them somewhere.

ciao,
   axel.
