segmentation error when running Monte Carlo with QS in cp2k versions 2.7 and forwards

Dear community, 

I seem unable to run Monte Carlo simulations using QS in any of the cp2k 
versions after 2.6. Using FIST the simulations run in all of the versions. 
In particular, it seems to crash when it attempts the first MC move. I was 
wondering if there is a known bug causing this issue and whether there is a 
fix or any plan to fix it in the near future.
