Plumed

I am just going through the documentation for compiling with plumed. It 
states for 2.x to put these in your arch

"include /path/to/your/plumed2.0/installation/lib/plumed/src/lib/Plumed.inc"

"EXTERNAL_OBJECTS=$(PLUMED_STATIC_DEPENDENCIES)"


Can you just put them anywhere in the arch like this or is there a specific 
place?
