No rule to make target `N'. Stop

Dear CP2K users , 

I'd like to install CP2K 3.0 on one of our group's cluster .
At the first time when I use ( make -j N ARCH=Linux-x86-64-gfortran 
VERSION=psmp ) in makefiles directory  I get this error : 
make: *** No rule to make target `N'.  Stop.

Can you please let me know what the reason of this error is ?
