functional Scaling parameters

I am trying to find any CP2K example that explains the use of the 
functional scaling parameters as done with converging energy 
(https://www.cp2k.org/howto:static_calculation) and geometry optimization 
(https://www.cp2k.org/howto:geometry_optimisation)

If someone has come across such an illustration, could you please put the 
link here..
