Hi

CP2K cannot (or only with a lot of effort and expertise) be
used to perform these types of simulations.

best regards

Subject: [CP2K:6379] Can I use cp2k for these 2 simulations?

I want to perform 2 simulations-

1. I want to apply a laser spot on the particular region of a material (on an atomistic level). I'd also like to know how much light is absorbed by the material.

2. I want to calculate the electromagnetic wave radiated by an oscillating charged atom.

I am looking for a simulator that can perform these 2 tasks (or any one of these tasks). Can cp2k do these?
