ScaLAPACK bugs and possible alternatives

I am hoping this e-mail reaches Joost VandeVondele. I found his post
on the ScaLAPACK forum:

I have run into some bugs due to these uninitialized variables in
p?trsm_.c. Have you tested this
patch? Also, what is CP2K using these days for parallel dense linear
algebra (particularly, the
eigensolver).
