2.1.xxx VS 2.2.xxx?

Dear CP2K developers,
Lately I just realize that CP2K come in two branch, that is 2.1.xxx
and 2.2.xxx. And those two is seems to be still developed until now. I
would like to know the difference between those two, in feature,
stability, performance, etc.
