A researcher position is available at the Physics Department of the
University of Roma “La Sapienza” in the group of Prof. Leonardo
Guidoni, in collaboration with the Department of Chemistry, Chemical
Engineering, and Materials of the University of L’Aquila.
The position is funded by the European Research Council (ERC) – IDEAS
Starting Grant (2009) within a project on Multiscale modelling for
Chemistry, Biochemistry and Biophysics. The research activity will
focus on the development of multiscale computational methods based on
Density Functional Theory, Molecular Dynamics and other electron
correlation methods such as Quantum Monte Carlo. We are looking for
excellent candidates with a strong and wide background in theory and
method developments in the field of ab-initio electronic structure.
Applicants should hold a PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science
or in a closely related subject and should have at least 2 years of
