We would like to draw your attention to the 3-day CECAM Workshop on
"Algorithmic re-engineering for modern non-conventional processing
units" scheduled for September 30th, 2009 - October 2nd, 2009 at the
Universita' della Svizzera Italiana (USI), Lugano (Switzerland).

The aim of the workshop is to explore the use of GPUs, Cell BE
processors, FPGAs and special-purpose hardware for large-scale
scientific computing. The main objective will be to discuss how some of
the most challenging problems in computational sciences have been ported
to modern non-conventional computing platforms and how general
scientific computational problems may benefit from the algorithmic
re-engineering process. Speakers cover a wide computational community
(physicists, chemists, engineers, computer scientists) active in the
fields of algorithm re-engineering for these new architectures.

The workshop "Algorithmic re-engineering for modern non-conventional
processing units" is now open for registration and people interested in
participating to this event can apply through the website:
http://www.cecam.org/workshop-306.html.

Looking forward to welcome you in Lugano,
The Organizers
