cp2k release goals

Hi everybody,

I agree, a release would be fine and for sure its necessary. As far as
possible for me I would contribute to this "release project".
To me it looks like this time it could really get a serious project
and not only an idea.
I would suggest to put somewhere to google groups a simple list, where
everybody can add features which
either already work and can be included to the release
or features not working properly but should be included (urgent bug
fixes).
This list could be a kind of road map for the programmers what has to
be done (not only for programmers, as well for people dealing e.g.
with a kind of tutorial or a better manual)

The second point, I don't really like myself would be to give us self
a deadline for the first release, otherwise I have the feeling it's
gonna be a never ending story.
A deadline would simply mean, what we got until this point will be
included in a first release, everything else in a second, third, ...
This might be only my opinion. I hate deadlines but they help to get
to a final version.
